Traditional music instrument

This painting is showing a person playing an instrument to entertain people walking pass. These people don’t have guitars and all these other good expensive instruments, they just play a simple instrument made from a coconut shell and two bamboo sticks attached with a rope and in the middle a thin string like the stings on a guitar. This instrument is called “ekhtara” and is mostly played in Bangladesh.
